    Re: Justin Hamilton

Why would they? I mean he was a good college athlete but NFL material? I doubt it. I'd like as much as anyone to see him make it but I don't think he will. I mean he couldn't even hold onto one position in college.

    Re: Justin Hamilton

VT's times are ALWAYS faster than the combine times.

If JHam ran a 4.5 at Tech, he runs a 4.7 at the combine.

btw, they recruited him as a quarterback. He didn't know he was moving to TE until he got up there. He even started off taking snaps.

    Re: Justin Hamilton

i realize that...Beamer told him that he thought his future was at TE, but he wanted to play QB and Groh said he would let him

same with Vince Redd, Beamer recruited him as a DE, but he wanted to play linebacker, which is retarded he's 6'7 260 and wants to play linebacker??? only freaks of an athlete could pull that off

    Re: Justin Hamilton

I think Hamilton needs the Combine to up his stock. He could possibly make it as a special teams player with his versitility, but I don't know if he'll get drafted. May have to sign with a team as a free agent after the draft.

    Re: Justin Hamilton

Can't Justin go to combine and then hold like personal combine or session for scouts? I guess you would call a pro day or something.

I don't see how you could "help him out " , the level of comp is just too much. The scouts are making a living by knowing what they are looking for and being able to find it. Good lower round drafting can make or break a team.

    Re: Justin Hamilton

just look at Willie Parker for the Steelers. Nothing at NC but because memories by Rooney of Willie in High School he got a shot and has made the best of a tough situation.
maybe as a free agent Justin can make a start someplace and work himself into a starting spot or a nickle back or something. A lot can happen when you have heart and the size to go with it.

Anymore, teams are looking for the sleepers. Someone with size, work ethic and versatility can go a long way. I'll not hold any unbelievable expectations, I'll just hope for the best.
What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men you just can't reach, so you get what we had here last week which is the way he wants it. Well, he gets it.
